Psychotherapy and counselling supervision
An excellent brief summary of the modes of supervision that I keep in mind is that given by Gaie Houston, Gestalt psychotherapist, who ran the training which led to my certificate in supervision from the Gestalt Centre.

She suggests that the three Ps of policing (attention to the frame of ethics, contract, boundaries and so on), plumbing (the nuts and bolts of the process, of interventions, of skills) and poetry (the personal, the nuances, the discomforts, and the magic) provide the basic structure of supervision.

I bring my wide experience of therapy, psychiatry, and my 15 years work as a supervisor to bear to offer you support, a thinking space, debate, stimulus, and will work with you to create the supervision environment that you know works best for you.

I offer individual supervision and I also run a group supervision for those interested in supervision with ‘a psychiatric flavour’ to discuss cases through the combined lens of psychotherapy and psychiatry.
